Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 2026 · AdTechGPT
AdTechGPT (“we”, “our”, “the platform”) is a market intelligence dashboard for the advertising technology industry. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site, why, and how it is handled. We have written it to be concise and plain-English.
1. What We Collect
Browser-local storage (client-side only)
AdTechGPT stores a small amount of preference data in your browser’slocalStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
| Key | What it stores | Persists |
|---|---|---|
| adtech_watchlist_v1 | Company slugs you have starred / pinned to your watchlist | Until you clear it |
| recentlyViewed | Last 5 company slugs you clicked on (for the “Recent” chip row) | Until you clear it |
| adtech_onboarding_v1 | Which onboarding tooltips you have dismissed | Until you clear it |
To delete this data: open your browser’s developer tools → Application → Local Storage → clear keys prefixed with adtech_ or recently.
Server / edge logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web-server data for each request: IP address, browser user-agent, referrer URL, requested path, and timestamp. These logs are used solely for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. We do not access or export these logs for marketing or analytics purposes.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
- Account credentials — there are no user accounts or logins
- Payment or financial information
- Advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels
- Analytics events (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar)
- Behavioural profiles or interest segments
3. Cookies
AdTechGPT does not set any first-party cookies. The hosting infrastructure (Vercel) may set a short-lived session cookie for edge routing; this is a technical necessity and contains no personal data. Third-party services listed below may set their own cookies if you follow outbound links to their sites — that is governed by their respective policies.
4. Third-Party Data Services
The platform fetches data from the following external APIs on the server side. Your browser does not connect to these services directly — all requests are proxied through our own /api/* routes.
| Service | What we fetch | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Finnhub | Live stock prices, 52-week high/low, market cap, P/E, analyst ratings, company news | finnhub.io/privacy-policy |
| Public subreddit posts (Atom/RSS feeds, no API key). Only publicly visible posts are fetched. | reddit.com privacy policy | |
| StockTwits | Public message stream for ticker symbols | stocktwits.com/privacy |
| Vercel | Hosting, CDN, and edge compute infrastructure | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
Financial data is also sourced from SEC EDGAR (public domain) and company investor relations press releases. Live market data is powered by Finnhub.io.
5. Your Rights
Because AdTechGPT does not collect personal data, most data-protection rights (access, rectification, erasure) are satisfied by the fact that no personal data exists on our systems. For the browser-local data described in Section 1, you have full control: clear it at any time via your browser’s developer tools or “Clear site data” option.
If you believe we hold personal data about you in server logs and wish to request its deletion, contact us at the address below.
6. Children
AdTechGPT is intended for business and investment research professionals. The platform is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK) and we do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the platform’s features or applicable law. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, please open an issue or discussion on the project’s public GitHub repository, or reach out via the contact details listed in the platform’s repository README.
